NOBLES NAMED AS NEW SNOOK SECONDARY CAMPUS PRINCIPAL
The Snook School Board unanimously approved the hiring of Darren Nobles to be the new principal of the Snook Secondary campus.
The Secondary campus consists of the Junior High and High School students.
Nobles graduated from Mart High School. He went on to Prairie View A&M, where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Before getting into education, Nobles was a semiconductor process engineer. During that time, he worked in 38 of the 50 states, and also spent time in seven different countries.
In 2003, Nobles moved back home to Texas, and changed careers to education. He taught math and coached at North Mesquite, Grand Prairie, and B. F. Terry High School in Rosenberg.
While at Terry, Nobles started a robotics program at the school in which students could also earn college credit.
In 2010, he got his Master’s Degree in Education, and two years later was named assistant principal at Bryan Rudder High School.
While at Rudder, Nobles started the school’s bass fishing club. Every year since it began, they have had a team make it to the state fishing tournament.
In 2022, Nobles was named associate principal at Stephen F. Austin Middle School in Bryan, which was his most recent position.
Nobles said that he is honored to serve the faculty and community of Snook ISD. He added that he believes the students are their most valuable commodity, and that he looks forward to building lasting relationships.
