BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FOR PUBLIC INTOXICATION, FAMILY ASSAULT
Brenham police arrested two people on Tuesday, one for public intoxication and another on a family assault charge.
Shortly after 10:30 p.m., Officer Darrell Nunn and Officer Gabriel Duran responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 East in regard to a disturbance in progress. After investigating the incident, police took 32-year-old Alex Tobey of Brenham into custody for Public Intoxication. He was transported to the Washington County Jail.
A few minutes past 11:30 p.m., Sergeant Tiffany Anderson, Officer Duran, Officer Ramon Torres and Officer Mateo Guillen responded to the 1900 block of Northview Circle Drive regarding a disturbance. According to police, their investigation revealed that 54-year-old Jennifer Rector of Brenham had allegedly assaulted a family member. Rector was transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked for Assault Family Violence.
