KTTX, known as KTEX-106, has announced that veteran radio personality David Bugenske is joining the station as its new afternoon drive host.

Bugenske brings more than 20 years of broadcast experience to KTEX, including 11 years hosting country morning shows in Southern California and, most recently, leading a country morning show in Maine.  His work has earned him national recognition, with two ACM Award nominations and a CMA Award nomination for top morning show in a large market.

A proud military brat whose parents are now retired in San Antonio, Bugenske enjoys spontaneous travel, hiking and exploring America’s National Parks, running, reading, football, and spending time with his 17-year-old Australian Shepherd, Moo.  He also proudly boasts that he cannot be beaten in cornhole.

Bugenske joins the KTEX lineup of Eilish and Cowboy Dave in the mornings, Courtney Cartwright in middays, and Craig Montana on nights.  KTEX General Manager Shannan Canales says the addition of Bugenske is the final piece in rounding out the station’s on-air team.

Bugenske will officially take over the KTEX afternoon drive in the coming days.
