$23.5 MILLION IN PERMITS IN MAY THANKS TO BLINN STUDENT HOUSING

  

The Brenham Permit heard and approved during the May city meeting included 40 applications, and an amount that was greatly boosted by the application of Moss and Associates, LLC on behalf of Blinn Student Housing. Blinn aims to build a four story multi-family student housing on Old Mill Creek Road, with the application for the permit coming in at $21.8 million.

There were 40 permits in total in the month of May, totaling $23,583,626. Blinn doesn’t have the only large project, as a $376,653 home applied for a permit in the 2400 block of Dillon St., and $243,455 by Collier Construction to add a 14’ addition to a building in the 2100 block of 290 W.

Super Donuts, also known as Max’s Donuts, applied for a $35,000 permit to remodel the restrooms’ interior, and add a drive thru.

Brenham ISD’s old Alton Elementary applied for a 60,000 grant to renovate a classroom into a restroom.

Stylecraft Builders applied for multiple permits to build new residences, 4 in total, at $90,600, $109,080, $100,740, $96,780.
