35,000 EXPECTED AT CHILIFEST IN SNOOK THIS WEEKEND

  

More than 35,000 music lovers will descend on the rural area of Snook Texas this weekend for the 2018 version of Chilifest.

The concert lineup on Friday includes Turnpike Troubadours, Koe Wetzel, Shotgun Rider, Bri Bagwell and Mason Kleman.  On Saturday, country stars Chris Young, Ryan Bingham, Josh Abbott Band, Casey Donahew and Parker McCollum take the stage.

Law enforcement officers are bracing for the onslaught of concertgoers pouring onto the Chilifest grounds near the intersection of FM 50 and FM 3058 in Burleson County just outside of Snook.  There will also be first aid stations with medical staff on site at the festival.  Free shuttle buses will be available Friday night beginning at 9 o’clock, and all day Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m. from Post Oak Mall in College Station.
