49TH ANNUAL COW-CALF CLINIC FRIDAY AT WASHINGTON CO. FAIRGROUNDS

The 49th Annual South Central Texas Cow-Calf Clinic is set for tomorrow (Friday) at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with the program beginning at 8 a.m.  This year’s clinic will focus on managing cow-calf operation through uncharted waters, and will include discussions on current markets, funding sources, and avoiding crisis.

In addition to the presentation, visitors can watch live cattle demonstrations, participate in contests, meet with tradeshow vendors, and network with producers and speakers.

One lucky attendee will win a commercial heifer purchased at the Washington County Fair.  This is the seventh year in a row that the Washington County Beef and Forage Committee and Texas Farm Credit have partnered to make the giveaway possible.

The clinic will be limited to the first 200 paid registrations in order to adhere to reduced seating requirements.  Personal protective equipment will be provided for all attendees, vendors and speakers.  Hand sanitizer and handwashing stations will be available throughout the day.

The program is sponsored by the county extension agents and beef committees from Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Colorado, Fayette, Grimes, Lee, Waller and Washington Counties.

To register for the event, visit https://washington.agrilife.org/ccc.

KWHI will have live reports from the cow-calf clinic throughout the morning.
