4H CLUB TO HOLD FOOD SCAVENGER HUNT

Washington County 4-H Club members will be participating in a Food Scavenger Hunt this Sunday, December 14th benefitting Faith Mission’s Food Pantry.

Local 4-Hers on teams will be meeting at Blue Bell Creameries to receive their lists of food items and will then be going to local households between 1 and 4 on Sunday afternoon to ask for donations that will then be donated to Faith Mission for holiday sharing.

Barbara Saunders, a 4H volunteer, tells us a little about the Scavenger Hunt:

In conjunction with this activity, 4-Hers are also planning a community-wide collection at Blue Bell Creameries Tour Center on Friday, December 12th from 2-5 pm.  Everyone is invited and encouraged to purchase food items to share with this collection effort to help the Food Pantry.

Randy Wells tells a little more about the project:

Local residents and businesses may drop off food or monetary donations and the 4-Hers will make sure this is delivered just in time for Christmas!

The Washington County Food Project 4-Hers are coordinating this project.  If anyone has questions, please feel free to call Christy Moran at 979-203-0433 or Stacey Saunders at 979-830-5677or Barbara Saunders at Blue Bell – 979-836-7977.
