84-YEAR OLD LEON CO. WOMAN NOW BEING INVESTIGATED IN DAUGHTER’S DEATH

84-year old Norma Albritton was arrested last week for the murder 35 years ago of her husband Johnnie.  She is now under suspicion for her 13-year old daughter’s death—originally ruled a suicide.

Back in 1981, Pam Allbritton died after being shot in the chest by a long rifle.  The death was ruled a suicide at the time, but that case is being opened up again.

Leon County Sheriff Kevin Ellis says throughout the investigation into her husband’s death, suspicions were raised over the death of Norma Albritton’s daughter.

Pam Albritton’s half-sister, Judy Robinson, says she’s always doubted the suicide story, saying that Pam was overjoyed and excited just the day before after making the Centerville High School basketball team.

Sheriff Ellis has not disclosed what new evidence has come to light in the death of Pam Albritton, and also would not discuss the investigation methods for the cold case.

Norma Albritton posted $50,000 bond after being arrested and indicted for her husband's murder. She now lives in Palestine.
