8TH ANNUAL PLANTERSVILLE CRAWFISH FESTIVAL AND COOK-OFF SATURDAY

The city of Plantersville is set to host its 8th Annual Crawfish Festival and Cook-off Saturday.

Visitors are invited to come out to Plantersville Town Hall on FM 1774 South, for a day of live music, games, and all-you-can-eat crawfish.  Gates open at 11 a.m.

Some of the events on tap include a crawfish eating contest, horseshoe and washer competitions, and music from the Koka Kola Cowboyz.  Cook-off categories include boiled crawfish, crawfish dishes, gumbo, and creative drink.

Wristbands are required to enter the grounds, which are $35.  There will be tables and chairs set up throughout the grounds, but guests can also bring their own lawn chairs.

For more information on how to become a team, contact Joel Allphin at 936-672-3716 or Dianne Phillips at 936-672-0306.
