CITY OF SOMERVILLE “SPRING INTO CLEAN” STARTS SATURDAY

  

The City of Somerville is hosting their annual week long “Spring into Clean” event starting tomorrow (Saturday).

“Spring into Clean” features extended hours at the transfer station which is located east of the water treatment plant on FM 1361, as well as a special “Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.”

The event runs starting tomorrow from 10am-6pm, Monday from 10am-6pm, Tuesday thru next Friday from 9am-5pm, and ending next Saturday, April 23, from 10am-6pm.

The “Household Hazardous Material Collection Day” is Wednesday, April 20, from 9am until either 5:30 or 6pm.

The service is only available to City of Somerville Utility customers.  Proof of I.D. and occupancy will be required.

City workers will also pick up bulky waste and brush curbside starting Monday and running through next Friday.
