AIMLESSLY WANDERING MAN ARRESTED FOR CRACK POSSESSION

A man that Brenham police say was ‘wandering aimlessly’ through downtown during the midnight hour today (Friday) was arrested for having a small amount of crack cocaine in his possession.

Brenham police officer David Dudenhoeffer stopped 29-year old Jeremy Wade Vaughn while he was on foot patrol.  Dudenhoeffer said he saw Vaughn peek through several storefront windows, and tried to use the public restrooms.

When the officer stopped him, Vaughn suddenly dropped an item from his hand.  The item was a small bag of off-white colored rocks that tested positive for being crack cocaine.

Vaughn was arrested for criminal trespass, tampering with evidence and crack possession.
