A&M AND BLINN TO MAKE WORKFORCE TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT TUESDAY

Texas A&M University has scheduled a news conference Tuesday afternoon for an announcement concerning workforce training in Brazos County.

Texas A&M University System Chancellor John Sharp will announce an agreement between Blinn College and the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service to provide workforce training in Brazos County.  Many of the new training programs will take place at the new RELLIS campus, where Blinn is building its new Bryan campus.  Blinn College District President Mary Hensley will be in attendance, along with State Senator Charles Schwertner, State Representatives John Raney and Kyle Kacal, Brazos County Judge Duane Peters, and TEEX Agency Director Gary Sera.  The news conference is scheduled for 2:30 Tuesday afternoon in suite 2404 of the Memorial Student Center at A&M.

More workforce training has been a point of contention for the group trying to start a new community college in Brazos County.
