Chappell Hill celebrated  50 years of Bluebonnets, the state’s official flower this weekend.

The Chappell Hill Bluebonnet Festival is the official Bluebonnet festival for Texas and it’s a good time to celebrate the rich history our area has to offer.   A good time was had indeed, as the seasonable spring weather and an abundance of the official state flower of Texas greeted tens of thousands of visitors to the small community in Washington County.

Joel Romo says the Chappell Hill Historical Society uses the festival to raise funds and awareness of the local history, and has done a wonderful job.
