Fayette County sheriff’s deputies have made another major drug bust on I-10.

Monday morning, Sherriff’s Deputy Randy Thumann and K-9 partner Lobos stopped a Chevy Silverado pickup truck on interstate 10, at the 661 mile-marker.

After consent to search the vehicle was obtained, Lobos alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the under carriage of the truck.

Thumann located a compartment built above the drive shaft in the exhaust channel of the truck.

Twenty-five bundles of marijuana weighing approximately 60 pounds were removed from the compartment.

Arrested and charged with possession of marijuana 50 lbs. to 2000 lbs. was 28 year old Josue Adame out of Rio Grand City.
