  1. Thank you BISD for putting the safety of kids and drivers first. There are days allocated for inclement weather. Icy for driving around in a car and treacherous for buses are different. The kids also have to get home at the end of the day, and the forecast was for more rain and colder temperatures. We dodged a bullet and should be grateful all is well.

    1. The roads are not icy at all. I have been all over the county this morning.
My gosh people overreact to the mild weather we have here.

      1. u call it mild maybe your use to something different this is cold brrrrrrrr im so glad they canceled school besides the last 4 days of school are half days not understanding the point of that but now they can use one of those days as a full one so there you go

  2. Mother Nature – BISD if they close school they just have to make up on another day that people are gonna complain because itz gonna be a beautiful day or go into the summer!!! Beside the cold weather DOES NOT make you SICK!!! Itz staying inside those WARM germ infested houses that people get sick.., so if you dress appropriate going to school is not an issue…

    1. Hopefully they will just make 2 of the 1/2 days, that are already scheduled the last week of school, full days. It’s not about dressing appropriately for school that is the issue today. It is already drizzling at our place and freezing over as it hits the ground. Safer to stay inside and not get on the roads this morning.

      1. I agree. They can make it up with those half days at the end of school year. I tell u why they do it that way. Bc after 10 am the state pays a whole day for each child that is present after 10. Those half days r just a pain for the parents that have to work all day. They have plenty days to make up for the ones they r missing.

  3. Is this a rerun of last week? Old comments are here! If Brenham schools are starting at 10 TOMORROW, they will do so without my children!

    1. Right its too damn cold for these kids to be out in it they could just cancel school all day keep your kids at home girl cause they not payin for no doctor visits or none of that
