ARTS & APPETIZERS RAISES OVER $14K FOR BISD

Over $14,000 was raised by the Brenham IDF Education Foundation at last (Tuesday) night’s Young Artist Showcase and Arts & Appetizers Auction.

The annual fund-raising event was held in the Brenham National Bank lobby, with artwork produced by BISD art students, with proceeds benefitting Brenham ISD art students, the Brenham ISD Art Program and the Brenham Public Schools..

The live auction raised $7,200; the silent auction, $6,075; there were $800 in donations and alumni contributions of $205…for a total of $14,280 in revenue.

Arts and Appetizers Edgar Diamantis — Another bid comes in for Edgar Diamantis's painting during the live auction Monday.

According to BISD Director of Business and Finance Kim Horne, this year’s effort was up slightly higher than last year--$75. The live auction was up $1,250 and the silent auction was up $2,635. The revenue is down in donations and matching funds.
