The Astros have hired a new general manager.
James Click spent 14-years as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays organization. He will succeed Jeff Luhnow, who was fired last month.
Click, 42, was the Rays' vice president of baseball operations. He is a Yale graduate, and was a writer for Baseball Prospectus prior to joining the Rays' front office in 2006.
Last month, Crane fired Luhnow and manager A.J. Hinch for their part in the sign-stealing scandal.
Dusty Baker was named to replace Hinch last week.
