AUCTION FOR KYLE FIELD LETTERS RAISED $62,000

  

An online auction of the former letters at Kyle Field, spelling out HOME OF THE 12TH MAN has raised over $60,000.

The auction, by the Texas A&M class of 1988, raised more than $62,000 dollars for the renovation of the memorial student center.

The most bids, 102, were made on the letter “N”, which was purchased by someone from Brenham for $3,500 dollars.

The most money was spent by someone from Seattle on the number two, which went for almost $9,000 dollars.  The number one went to a bidder from Seattle for a combined $5,000 dollars.

The most interest came from the 33 bidders who wanted the combination of the underlined TH.  That was purchased by someone from Midland for almost $4,700 dollars.
