AUSTIN CO. 4H PRESENTS AWARDS

  

Austin County 4-H recently recognized numerous individuals for their participation and success in 4-H events while representing Austin County.

Pictured above: Austin County Award Winners for their participation at County, District, State, and National levels.

 

Star Award Winners included: Gold Star – Hunter Spacek & Madison Makowsky who delivered speeches on “What 4-H Means To Me”. Silver Star – Hudson Ham, Bronze Star – Blake Makowsky, Rising Star – Jacie Menefee and Lane Locke.

Hunter Spacek was also awarded The Gideon Linceum Master Naturalist Scholarship and the Bluebonnet Master Gardener Association Scholarship for his leadership, volunteerism, community service, and participation within Austin County 4-H.

Leader/Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Melissa Burke.

Friends of 4-H Awards were: Candi Havemann and Barbara Bartels. This year’s recognized businesses were Tractor Supply Co., Bellville Lions Club, and Brookshire Brothers.

The 2018-2019 Austin County Council Officers were introduced. Council Officers include: President – Mackenzie Burke, 1st Vice President – Hudson Ham, 2nd Vice President – Reagan Burke, 3rd Vice President – Hunter Schumann, Secretary – McKenna Burke, Treasurer – Kaitlyn Witt, Reporter – Grace Lischka, and Parliamentarian – Lanie Kelly.
