AUSTIN COUNTY POLLING PLACES ANNOUNCED
Three Republicans and one Democrat have filed to fill the state House District 13 seat recently vacated when Lois Kolkhorst was elected to the Senate in a special election.
The four will appear on the ballot in a special election on Jan. 13. Early voting began Jan. 5. Competing for the seat are Republicans Becky Berger of Schulenburg, Carolyn Bilski of Sealy and Leighton Schubert of Caldwell and Democrat Cecil Webster Sr. of Carmine.
In Austin County, the polling places listed below will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Jan. 13. Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted each weekday at the Austin County Elections Department, 804 East Wendt Street, Bellville between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning on Jan. 5 and ending on Jan. 9.
