AUSTIN COUNTY VOTES TO ELECT KOLKHOST TO TEXAS SENATE

  

Election results for Austin County showed an overwhelming victory for Lois W Kolkhorst, with 2,313 votes (76.77) percent of voters choosing to elect Kolkhorst to the Texas Senate.

Coming in second was Republican Gary Gates, with 579 votes (19.22%), followed by Democrat Christian E Hawkins, with 56 votes (1.86%), Democrat Cindy Drabek, with 40 votes (1.33%), Republican Charles Gregory, 25 votes (.83%).

Because of Kolkhorst’s percentage of votes, there will be no need for a runoff for the position.
