AUTHOR TO VISIT BRENHAM MIDDLE SCHOOL
The author of this year’s Washington County READ book will be visiting the Brenham Middle School.
Bryan Mealer, the author of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind will with 5th and 6th grade students at Brenham Middle School, Friday, October 25th.
Mealor will meet with sixth grade groups in three morning sessions and three fifth grade groups in the afternoon.
Organizer Bonnie Brinkmeyer said, "All will have read the primary (illustrated) version of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, and it will be a real treat for them to meet a published author!”
Brinkmeyer says, “This book touches many elements of vocabulary, time and place settings, language and creativity, as well as themes of human struggles, resilience, culture, and geography."
