AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATING DRIVE-BY SHOOTING IN GRIMES COUNTY

  

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred this weekend.

According to Investigator Kindale Pittman, an Iola homeowner in the 24000 block of FM 39 called 911 around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.  The homeowner reported someone had fired multiple rounds into their residence, after being woken up to what they believed were gunshots and sounds of glass breaking.

The homeowner also said that an unidentified vehicle fled from the home after the shooting, heading southbound on FM 39.  No injuries were reported in the incident.

Investigator Pittman says the Sheriff’s Office is currently tracking down information and additional leads.  Grimes County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for any information leading to an arrest in this case.  You can contact Crime Stoppers at 936-873-2000.
