BAYLOR SCOTT AND WHITE OFFERING FREE DIABETES CLASSES

Baylor Scott and White-Brenham is looking to help people living with diabetes with a free class tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

The Community Wellness and Diabetes Center, located at 2117 South Day Street in Brenham, is hosting the course, called “The Ups and Downs of Living with Diabetes” tomorrow, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Brenham Scott and White’s Diabetes Coordinator Betty Kubicek says the classes help people learn about and cope with diabetes.

Geriatric and adult nurse practitioner Ann O’Malley, who has had Type I Diabetes for over 45 years, will teach the course, giving first hand tips and information about diabetes.  Kubicek says it’s extremely important for people to know about diabetes, especially as it makes its way to more people.
