BELLVILLE’S DAVID LEWIS WINS AUSTIN COUNTY SUMMER MUSIC FEST COUNTRY SHOWDOWN

Bellville High School’s own David Lewis along with his band, took the title at this year’s Austin County Summer Music Fest Country Showdown on Saturday at the Austin County Fairgrounds.

Lewis, just 16 years-old, lives in Bellville along with his band members. His sisters, Emily Lewis plays the bass in the band. All his fellow band members are also Bellville Brahmas.

Lewis and his band will be back in October to play in the Austin County Fair, and will advance on to the Texas Regional Final.

Coming in 2nd at the Showdown was Snake River Red, a band out of Giddings.

The 2-time winner from Welcome, John Gunderson, came in 3rd place this year.
