BISD LOOKING FOR ELEMENTARY TUTORS

The Brenham ISD is looking for positive adult role models to mentor and tutor students.

The Children Are Really Special program, known as CARS, has been a successful part of the Brenham ISD for over 20 years.

Brenham ISD officials say that for many students today, learning requires more than a classroom setting can provide.

For 30 minutes, once a week, a mentor can change the academic course of a child’s life.

BISD officials say their greatest areas of need are:

At Alton Elementary School, Mondays or Thursdays from 11:20-11:50 a.m., contact Lynn Prinz, lprinz@brenhamk-12.net

Brenham Elementary School, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 12:00-12:30 p.m., contact Sunne Wheaton, swheaton@brenhamk-12.net

And Krause Elementary School, Mondays or Thursdays from 10:30-11:00 a.m.; and Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 9:10-9:40 a.m., contact Lisa Bolcerek, lbolcerek@brenhamk-12.net
