BLINN ATHLETICS ON HOLD DUE TO ‘FREEZE’

The weather has taken its toll on Buccaneer athletics.

Games have been either cancelled or postponed in Blinn basketball, baseball and softball.

The Buccaneer basketball teams will be off throughout the week, scheduled to return to play next Saturday.  The women have postponed their games Saturday at Jacksonville and Wednesday at home to Bosier Parish.  They will return to play next Saturday (2/27) at home to Panola.

The Buc men have postponed this Saturday's game at home to Bosier Parish and will hit the floor next Saturday at Victoria College.

The baseball team has seen ten games either cancelled or postponed, including four conference games with Alvin.  The Bucs will return to play Saturday the 27th, with a doubleheader at Galveston.

Blinn softball has had eight games wiped out due to the arctic blast, including doubleheaders this weekend at Hohlt Park with Kilgore and Tyler, as well as a twinbill this coming Wednesday with McLennan.  The Bucs will travel to Seguin, next Friday for a doubleheader with Texas Lutheran.

Buccaneer volleyball has seen seven games called off, including five conference contests.  The Bucs aren't slated to return to play until Monday, March first at home to Wharton Junior College.
