BLINN BASEBALL PLAYER DIES IN ATV ACCIDENT

  

An ATV accident claimed the life of a Blinn baseball player Thursday night.

Sammy Blair of Navasota was killed in an ATV rollover accident, at the age of 21.  He was a redshirt sophomore majoring in business management, who started in center field this past season for the Buccaneers.

In Blair’s freshman season, he played in 40 games, was third on the team with a .339 batting average, and tied for third on the team with seven stolen bases.  He represented Blinn in the Texas-New Mexico Coaches Association All Star Game this past fall.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.

  1. Myself & the entire Glacier Pilot Baseball family in Anchorage, Alaska are saddened by the loss of this fine young man & baseball player. Our prayers go out to the Blair family & all of those that knew & loved Sammy.
