The board will consider authorizing administrators to request qualifications for an architect to design the Phase II building on the RELLIS Campus.  Earlier this year, trustees and administrators discussed a proposed second phase of construction at the campus.

Blinn and the Texas A&M System set an initial goal for 500 students during Blinn’s inaugural year at the campus in 2018.

However, student demand pathways to bachelor’s degree programs offered by the Texas A&M System exceeded all anticipated demand, as Blinn enrolled 1,515 students for the Fall 2018 semester.

Blinn anticipates that it will quickly surpass the 2,500-student capacity of the Walter C. Schwartz Building.

The board will meet this afternoon at 5:30 p.m. at the Walter C. Schwartz Building on the RELLIS Campus, located at 2423 Blinn Boulevard in Bryan.
