BLINN COLLEGE TO PRESENT QUICKBOOK CLASSES

  

The Blinn College Small Business Development Center is hosting a pair of QuickBooks classes Thursday, Dec. 18, to teach small business owners how to get the most out of their accounting software.

The basic course will take place from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Topics include building cash flow, setting up a new company, managing note pads and lists, processing accounts payable and receivable and banking.

The advanced course will be from 1:30 – 5:30 p.m. Topics include running reports, using the payroll module and tracking inventory.

Both classes will be held at the Bullock Building on the corner of College Avenue and Prairie Lea Street. Registration is $60 per person and is available at www.blinn.edu/sbdc.

The classes will be taught by Kristin Gunderson, a certified QuickBooks Pro advisor and registered tax return preparer with the IRS.

The SBDC at Blinn College is a business consulting and training center that is part of the Texas Gulf Coast Small Business Development Center Network, which serves 32 counties in Southeast Texas. The center provides free one-on-one consulting and low-cost training seminars.
