BLINN STUDENTS TO GET EMERGENCY AID FUNDS

Blinn College has received some help amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Texas Higher Education Foundation, in partnership with the Greater Texas Foundation and Trellis Foundation, has awarded Blinn $30,000 in Texas Emergency Aid Grant funds to support students impacted by COVID-19.

The funds can be used to help current students address basic needs created by COVID-19 pandemic-related disruptions, including tuition/books, childcare, food/groceries, healthcare, housing/utilities, transportation, technology, and other expenses.

Grant funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and students must submit the Texas Emergency Grant Program application available at www.blinn.edu/financial-aid/forms.html.

To access the application, students must be registered for the Spring 2021 semester and sign into the myBLINN portal.
