BLINN TRUSTEES TO HEAR COVID-19 UPDATE, DISCUSS 2020-21 BUDGET

The Blinn Board of Trustees will meet twice this (Tuesday) afternoon to discuss Blinn College affairs as they pertain to COVID-19.

Blinn staff members listen to board trustees in Rooms 2 and 3 of the Brenham Campus Student Center as they held a meeting via teleconference March 26th. Public access to the board's meeting tonight will also be limited to the student center, but the meeting will also be available on YouTube.

Board members will first meet in workshop to discuss the 2020-21 Fiscal Year Budget.  Following the workshop, they will meet in regular session to hear an update on COVID-19 and College operations.

Also in regular session, the board will look at allowing Blinn administrators to negotiate and execute a contract to develop a districtwide facilities master plan.  Trustees will also consider going out for proposals for furniture, fixtures and equipment for the new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Innovation (STEI) Building on the Brenham Campus.  In addition, they will act on a contract for custodial services on the Brenham, Bryan, and RELLIS Campuses.

The board workshop is scheduled for 4 p.m., and the regular meeting for 5:30 p.m.  Both meetings will be held in the Brenham Campus Administration Building.

Public access to the meetings will be limited to Rooms 2 and 3 of the Brenham Campus Student Center.  The meetings will also be livestreamed and posted to Blinn College’s YouTube channel.
