BLINN WINTER MINIMESTER OFFERS FASTER COLLEGE CREDITS

  

Students looking to pick up extra credit hours toward their degree can register for Blinn College’s Winter minimester which began yesterday, and students can earn a semester’s worth of college credit in less than three weeks.

Blinn College opened public registration for its upcoming Winter minimester and the Spring 2015 semester at 9 a.m. today. The Winter minimester runs Dec. 19-23 and Jan. 5-15, and registration remains open through Dec. 18.

Students who will be traveling during the holidays can take advantage of the College’s convenient online courses during the minimester, which include: Cultural Anthropology, Art Appreciation, Art History II, Introduction to Theater, Composition I, Physical Geography, World Geography, American Government, Texas Government, Medical Terminology I, United States History I and II, Texas History, Personal Health, Music Appreciation, General Psychology, Lifespan Growth & Development, Introduction to Sociology, Marriage and Family and Public Speaking.

On the Bryan campus, students can enroll in: Cultural Anthropology, Art History I and II, World Geography, American Government, Texas Government, United States History I, Texas History, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Plane Trigonometry, Mathematics for Business & Social Sciences, Calculus for Business and Social Sciences, Statistics, Introduction to Logic, General Psychology and Introduction to Sociology.

On the Brenham campus, students can enroll in: Composition I, American Government, United States History II, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Plane Trigonometry, Mathematics for Business & Social Sciences I and Introduction to Philosophy.

Students may register for one course during the minimester. Last year, a record 1,363 enrolled in minimester courses, including 945 who opted to take their courses online.

Registration for 16-week and first eight-week Spring courses remain open through Jan. 19, with classes beginning Jan. 20. For registration information, visit: www.blinn.edu.
