BLUEBONNET ELECTRIC AWARDS $150,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO ‘CLASS OF 2020’

  

 

Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative has awarded $150,000 in scholarships to 60 eligible high school seniors who graduated in 2020.

Half of the $2,500 scholarships went to students who are pursuing bachelor’s degrees, and the other half to students pursuing trade or technical certificates or associate degrees in a vocational field.

Among those receiving scholarships are, from:

Brenham: Alldyn Schroeder; Jordan Kelm; Mia Aschenbeck; Jordan Boecker; Logan Schwartz; Tanner Lewis.

Burton: Alex Countouriotis; Cade Weiss; Kyndal Coufal.

Round Top-Carmine: Hayley Castillo; Luke Dallmeyer.

Bellville: Kaylyn Krebs; Lillian Hohlt.

Somerville: Brooke Vasquez; Layne Tharp.

Snook: Colby See; David Davis.

Caldwell: Jenna Johnson; Kate Urbanovsky; Ke’Asia Butler; Kymber Dean; Megan McCarthy; Micaela Garza.

Giddings: Bailey Lyon; Macy Alexander; Adrienne Isabel Justus Carvin; Marissa de la Rosa.

In the past five years, Bluebonnet has presented $679,500 in scholarships to students from across the cooperative’s service area.
Applications for 2021 scholarships will be available on the cooperative’s website: bluebonnet.coop, by November first.
