BRAZOS CO. POULTRY PROCESSING PLANT REPORTS 26 COVID-19 CASES

  

 

KBTX-TV in College Station is reporting that than two dozen employees at Sanderson Farms poultry processing plant have tested positive with COVID-19.

The report indicates that several employees at the Bryan facility have reached out to share concerns about working conditions inside the plant and the increasing number of workers who are testing positive for the virus.

According to records kept by the Brazos County Health District , by Monday, at least 26 COVID-19 cases in Brazos County were linked to Sanderson Farms and its employees.

Brazos County Infectious Disease Specialist, Dr. Seth Sullivan estimates between 10 to 15 of the cases were reported in the last week. He also said the company has been cooperative with the Brazos County Health District in tracking and monitoring patients and their contacts.

Dr. Sullivan also said state health officials are aware of the situation and are closely monitoring it.

  1. According to records kept by the Brazos County Health District , by Monday, at least 26 COVID-19 cases in Brazos County were “linked” to Sanderson Farms and its employees.

    Please note the use of the work ‘LINKED”. It does not say that all 26 cases are from workers, it just says they are linked. I suggest a better explanation is needed before we all panic.
