BRAZOS VALLEY FOOD BANK HOLDING FOOD DROP IN BURTON FRIDAY
The Brazos Valley Food Bank is hosting a food drop this Friday in Burton.
Citizens can come pick up food Friday morning in the St. John’s United Church of Christ parking lot, from 10 a.m. to noon. Food Bank Programs Manager Shannon Avila says they work with six counties and around 40 area elementary schools.
Avila says this is the second time the Brazos Valley Food Bank has held the Backpack Program in Burton. Previously, Burton Bridge Ministries was in charge of the program.
Friday’s food drop will be in the parking lot of St. John’s UCC in Burton, located at 516 North Colorado Street, from 10 a.m. to noon. There will also be a food drop on August 17th.
