BRAZOS VALLEY GIVES NOW RAISING FUNDS FOR AREA NONPROFITS

  

Over 130 nonprofits across the Brazos Valley are participating today (Tuesday) in the 2nd Annual Brazos Valley Gives.

The 18-hour online fundraiser for regional nonprofit organizations is underway through 11 p.m.  This year, 136 nonprofits across the seven-county region of the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley are participating in the fundraiser, including 20 nonprofits in Brenham and Washington County.

Donors can either give online at www.brazosvalleygives.org, or visit one of two drive-thru locations accepting donations: the Bryan/College Station Eagle, at 1729 Briarcrest Drive in Bryan from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; or the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, at 314 South Austin Street in Brenham from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

  • Brenham Heritage Museum
  • Brenham ISD Education Foundation
  • Brenham Pet Adoption Center
  • Burton Educational Foundation
  • Camp For All
  • CASA for Kids of South Central Texas
  • Citadel Christian School
  • Faith Mission and Help Center, Inc.
  • First Baptist Church School
  • Here I Am Orphan Ministries
  • HOPE Gathering, Inc.
  • Miracle Farm
  • New Beginnings Life Ministries
  • The Brenham Children’s Chorus
  • Unity Theatre
  • Washington County Healthy Living Association
  • Washington on the Brazos Historical Foundation

Last year, over 100 nonprofits participated in the inaugural event, and all of them received a financial benefit from the $363,686 that was raised.  This year’s fundraising goal is $375,000.  All donations will pass through directly to the donor’s charity or charities of choice.

Participating nonprofits are also eligible to win over $30,000 in incentive prizes donated from businesses and individuals.

Brazos Valley Gives is powered by the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley.  Presenting sponsors are Stylecraft and Tom Light Chevrolet in Bryan/College Station.

KTEX-106 and KWHI are joining Bryan Broadcasting, Insite, KBTX, The Eagle, Brenham Banner Press, KEOS, Lamar Advertising, David Gardner’s Jewelers and the Bryan/College Station and Washington County Chambers of Commerce in partnering with Brazos Valley Gives to help spread awareness about the online fundraiser.
