BRENHAM AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD TO DISCUSS MINIMUM STANDARD UPDATES AT AIRPORT

The Brenham Airport Advisory Board will meet Thursday to discuss potential changes to minimum standards for the Brenham Municipal Airport.

The current minimum standards for fixed base operators were adopted in September of 2005, based on TxDOT’s template for minimum standards.  Staff say this template does not “clearly define, explain, and/or address certain items”.

Minimum standards cover business at the airport, commercial operations, insurance, building and improvement standards, and leasing.

Also in session, the board will go through several project updates, including the progress on the runway bump project, a possible location for an additional aviation fuel tank, and a proposed fixed base operator agreement.

The board will also discuss current issues regarding airport operations and future airport needs or improvements.

The board will meet Thursday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. at Brenham Municipal Airport, on 3001 Aviation Way.
