BRENHAM, BURTON ISD’S MEET T.E.A. STANDARDS

The Brenham and Burton school districts have received a "met standard" rating for the 2013-2014 school year under the state accountability system administered by the Texas Education Agency.

This is the second year of ratings under the new accountability system, which was established by the Texas Legislature in 2011.  Most schools earn ratings of "met standard" or "improvement required.

Both of Burton’s districts met standards.  Seven of the Brenham district's eight campuses met standard.

Only Alton Elementary was rated as “improvement required”.  Alton will be moving to a new campus for the upcoming school year.
