BRENHAM/BURTON UIL CLASSIFICATIONS REMAIN SAME FOR 2020-22

Brenham High School’s athletic and interscholastic teams will remain in 5A when the 2020 U.I.L. realignment is announced in February.

Tuesday morning, the UIL released the classification cutoff numbers for its upcoming biennial realignment, slated for February 3rd.   Class 5A will be the 254 member schools with an enrollment between 1,210 and 2,219.  Brenham submitted an enrollment of 1,501 to the UIL on “Snapshot Day” in October.

Brenham’s football team will remain in 5A Division II.

Meanwhile, Burton’s U.I.L. programs will remain in 2A with an enrollment of 128 students.  The 2A classification will have 200 schools with attendance numbers between 105 and 229 students.  The football team will remain in 2A Division II.

U.I.L. realignment will be announced, Monday, February 3rd.
