PROPERTY OWNERS INVITED TO PACE MEETING FEBRUARY 27TH

A program to help local businesses is set for later this month in Brenham.

Washington County commercial property owners are invited to a free information meeting for Property Assessed Clean Energy, Thursday, February 27th.

Brenham Economic Development Director Susan Cates says, “PACE financing is perfectly designed to merge a business’ need to preserve working capital with the desire to improve property with investment that will have long-lasting positive benefits for operating costs and growth of equity in the improved property.”

Cates says it will be a valuable economic development tool for commercial property owners in Washington County.

Approved by State legislation and established by Washington County Commissioners Court, Cates says TX-PACE programs enable owners to lower their operating costs and use the savings to pay for eligible water conservation, energy efficiency, resiliency, and distributed generation projects.

The program is set for Thursday, February 27th, from 1:00-to-3:00 p.m. at the Nancy Carol Roberts Library, in Brenham.
