BRENHAM EVENING LIONS TO HOST WASHINGTON CO. READ PRESENTATION TUESDAY
The Brenham Evening Lions Club will have a guest speaker at its upcoming meeting.
Tuesday, Jean Shoup of Washington County READ will share information on this year’s READ selection, “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind” by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer.
The book is a true story about Kamkwamba, a teenager who built a wind turbine from discarded materials to help bring electricity and running water to his small village in Malawi.
Tuesday’s meeting will be held at the Cannery Kitchen in Brenham. A meal will be served at 6:30 p.m., with the program starting at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
