BRENHAM F.D. CALLED TO ACCIDENT/ELEVATOR MALFUNCTION

The Brenham Fire Department was called to an accident at Hohlt Park, Wednesday afternoon.

According to authorities, an SUV crashed when it ran into the creek near the park.

Fire fighters say all the occupants were out of the vehicle, which had front end damage.

The department used absorbent pads to clean up spilled fuel in the creek, while a wrecker removed the vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Wednesday night, firefighters were called to the Mill Creek Apartments at Blinn College, where a student was trapped in an elevator.  The elevator was stuck between floors.

The department used a ladder to free the victim, who was not injured.

The elevator was taken out of service until it could be repaired.
