BRENHAM F.D. MAKES TWO CALLS, THURSDAY

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to a pair of calls, Thursday.

Just before 1:00 p.m., they were called out to the 2700 block of South Chappell Hill St. for a report of a gas leak.

A contractor had damaged a gas line and the City of Brenham Gas Department was on location.  BFD units closed off Chappell Hill St. and set up a safe perimeter so the Gas Department could fix the leaks.

There were no injuries.

Then, just before 3:00 p.m., they responded to 605 Medical Court for smoke in the building.

Upon investigation units found that an AC unit had malfunctioned causing light smoke in the building.

The building was turned over to the owners and they were advised to have an AC maintenance person check out the system.
