BRENHAM F.D. PUTS OUT SMALL FIRE AT COLLECTION STATION
The Brenham Fire Department was called out early Tuesday morning to the Brenham Citizens Collection Station.
Just before 3:30 a.m., firefighters were dispatched for a report of smoke coming from the city mulch pile.
The department found a small area of the mulch burning.
They used a City of Brenham tractor to dig out the hot spots and tank water to cool off those hot spots.
The department also placed a water sprinkler on the pile to keep it wet and to cool it off.
