GRASSFIRE ON US 290 EAST

  

A grass fire on Highway 290 between Brenham and Chappell Hill prompted a call to the Brenham Fire Department for mutual aid Friday afternoon.

Shortly before 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, the Chappell Hill Fire Department asked for help fighting a grass fire at 9885 Highway 290 East.  While en route, the request was cancelled as Chappell Hill firefighters had the blaze under control.
