BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

On Friday at around 7:53am, the Brenham Fire Department responded to 9525 Iron Bridge Road on Lake Somerville for an overturn boat for a possible water rescue.

After further investigation, BFD determined the boat was not in the Washington County side and actually on the Burleson County side and they had resources responding from Burleson County, reportedly on Pecan Lake, where a bass boat had overturned.

EMS was called, and three people were treated for mild hypothermia, but not transferred to the hospital.

Also on Friday at 6:59pm, BFD responded to 609 Kerr St. for a smoke investigation in the area.  BFD found that the occupant was mowing the grass and had spilled oil on the engine of the lawn mower causing the smoke.  No further action was taken.
