BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

On Tuesday around 5:52pm, The Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to a transportation incident for rescue at 1503 Industrial Blvd.. A pick-up truck ran off the road into a deep, muddy ditch which complicated the rescue effort.

Several BFD responders along with Washington County EMS members worked to stabilize and extricate three occupants of a pick-up truck.

BFD members utilized hydraulic extrication tools including the spreaders and cutters to gain access to the patients.

The two children were removed first and transferred to EMS personnel. The adult was lifted from the ditch with a stokes rescue basket, ropes, and ladders and transferred to EMS care.
