BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

On Saturday just after 7:30am, the Brenham Fire Department responded to 1255 Christmas Rd. for a motor vehicle crash with possible entrapment.  Before BFD’s arrival, EMS canceled BFD’s response the driver was just sleeping and not trapped.

On Saturday around 8:25am, the BFD responded to 1603 Harrison Dr. for an automatic fire alarm.  Upon arrival and after investigation, BFD found that the resident had burned food causing the alarm to activate.  There was no emergency.

Also on Saturday around 8:45am, the BFD responded to 2605 Schulte Blvd., Hampton Inn, for an automatic fire alarm.  Prior to arrival, BFD was canceled by the alarm company, false alarm.

On Sunday around 5:10pm, the BFD responded to 901 E. Academy for a report of a gas leak.  Upon arrival and after investigation, BFD found a propane tank in the yard of the residence leaking LPG.  BFD called for the propane company to come out and check the tank.  Residents with in the area were asked to evacuate until the leak was stopped.  Once leak was stopped all residents were allowed back into their homes.

Also on Sunday just before 9:00pm, the BFD responded to 200 S. Dixie St. for a possible illegal burning in the city limits.  Upon arrival BFD found the resident was burning fire wood in an approved fire pit and there was no illegal burning.
