BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT HIGH WATER CAR RECOVERY
On Wednesday around 5:30pm, BFD responded to Old Chappell Hill Rd. and Plum Ln. for a report of a car in high water.
BFD was cancelled when it was discovered that no one was in the car.
Also Wednesday around 9:45am, the Brenham Fire Department responded to 205 Riggs, Henderson Park for a report of Bees in a water meter.
Fire Department units removed the bees from the meter.
On Wednesday around 11:15am, BFD responded to 1405 Old Mill Creek RD Blinn Ag Building for an Automatic. FD units made location and found someone welding without the exhaust fans on.
No fire and no damage to the building.

I appreciate all the FD does for our town and community, but question why they would be called out for bee’s in a meter. That seems a poor use of a very valuable resource. Maybe someone can help me understand it.
